The organization’s oriented activities are the result of a great collaboration and cooperation of the staff to serve civil society needs and demands. Bo Peshewa was established in Baghdad in 2004 as a CCO to defend children’s rights and empower women, by considering the key to building a strong complete society we strongly feel the future of tomorrow is today’s children.

The organization’s founders have been working for a long time on using media and journalism to achieve the main organizational goals. Al Mahaba radio – The Voice of Women VoW was established in 2005 and broadcasted, live & recorded programs, interviews as well as other entertaining programs which aim to increase awareness on topics such as violence against women, as well as brainstorming ideas that support the society as a whole.

One of our projects “Takalami” who’s goal is to “create independent Media Platform in the Kurdistan Region” which is about women journalist’s rights and effective techniques in interviewing women victims of violence.

Bo Peshewa has also organized training workshops for Iraqi and Kurdish journalists in different governorates with the supervision of International and local facilitators.

We also have many other ideas, training, and workshops that we would like to implement provided that we received the required assistance to do so, therefore we urge everyone to join us and our movement to make Iraq and Kurdistan a better place.
